Tea Bird Tea Alkalizing Detailed Review

Tea Bird Tea Alkalizing is warm relaxation in a cup!

Tea Bird Tea Alkalizing was my favorite among all the other teas I tried from Tea Bird Tea. I love curling under my covers with a book and a cup of tea before bed. So I’m searching for good, caffeine-free, herbal teas.

Tea Bird Tea’s Alkalizing Tea did not disappoint. This soothing tea is perfect for bedtime or a relaxing afternoon.

In this article, we will explore:

  • Brewing Conditions
  • Aroma
  • Taste
  • Packaging
  • Caffeine Level
  • Food Pairings
  • About Tea Bird Tea
  • Where to Buy

Brewing Conditions for Tea Bird Tea Alkalizing

Like all herbal teas, the Tea Bird Tea Alkalizing must also be brewed in boiling-temperature water. You can brew from anywhere between 5-10 minutes under a lid.

I brewed it for seven minutes, enough time for a flavorful, aromatic brew.

Aroma(5/5):

The Tea Bird Tea Alkalizing Tea smelled amazing. With spices such as fennel and cinnamon and floral hints of dandelion, it was a very pleasing aroma.

Taste (5/5):

The taste of the Alkalizing tea was very soothing. All the spices and herbs together made a luxurious combination with a sweet aftertaste from the cinnamon and licorice.

Packaging (5/5):

The packaging was as good as any tea packaging can be. The Tea Bird Tea came in a vibrant magenta tin illustrated with peacock-blue birds, which can easily be recycled.

The steel tin came with a second lid inside to preserve the freshness of the tea.

The large teabags are made from cornstarch and are biodegradable according to Tea Bird Tea’s website.

Caffeine Level: Free

The Alkalizing tea is completely caffeine-free, so you can enjoy it any time of day when you’re craving tea without the jitters. But I love it as a bedtime tea!

Food Pairings:

You don’t want anything with this tea that would overwhelm the light, soothing taste. Light cheese or vegetable crackers would pair well.

Fresh, subtly sweet, or tangy fruits like dragonfruit or orange would also go well with the Alkalizing tea.

About The Brand: Tea Bird Tea

Tea Bird Tea was founded by Ashleigh Cotterill. While their initial journey started in Australia, Tea Bird Tea started selling their tea in Malaysia in 2015, which is now their primary base.

On their website, it says their tea is sourced from India, Sri Lanka, China, and Malaysia. However, the tea tin itself has no information on the source of the tea, which I found a little disappointing.

However, their recyclable tin packaging and biodegradable teabags show their commitment to sustainability.

Where To Buy Tea Bird Tea Alkalizing Tea

By the time I got to publishing this article, I found out that this tea is no longer available for sale on their website. And needless to say, I feel very disappointed.

As I said, among all the teas I tried from Tea Bird Tea, the Alkalizing was my favorite. So I’m quite puzzled about why they discontinued it. If it comes back though, rest assured I will let you know!
