If you’re looking for a refreshing summer iced tea recipe to serve at your next bbq party, you’ve come to the right place. This Pineapple Berry Blush Iced Tea is everything you want on a hot summer day!
The Berry Blush Tea:
The Berry Blush tea blends rooibos with apple and berry pieces, with hints of liquorice and lemon myrtle. It has a lovely, fruity aroma.
While I didn’t love this tea served hot, I thought it would be perfect for iced tea. So I came up with this refreshing summer iced tea recipe for you!
What makes it better is this tea is non-caffeinated. So you can enjoy it any time of day, even before bed!
For The Berry Blush Tea Cold Brew:
There are many ways to make iced tea, but I followed Tea Drunk’s method this time. And it came out pretty good!
I added a small amount of boiling hot water immediately followed by room temperature water and stuck it in the fridge overnight.
Just make sure to use a vessel large enough to hold the water. And you also want to submerge all the tea in the boiling water as well to extract the maximum flavor.
I added 2 tbsps of honey in this recipe. But the iced tea was still more sour than sweet, which was perfect for me. But if you have a big sweet-tooth, you might want to adjust the sweetness to your preference.
Just be sure to stir the honey well before you put it in the fridge and before serving as it could all be sitting at the bottom.
The sour Berry Blush tea, the sweetness of the honey, and the acidity of the pineapple juice really balanced each other out to make a perfect, refreshing summer iced tea recipe!
What to pair with the Pineapple Berry Blush Iced Tea?
This tea paired really well with the savory egg sausage salad served on peanut butter toast. The savory and sour really complemented each other!
I’ll have the recipe up soon for you!
