Pour 1.25 cups of water into the saucepan and put over medium-high flame.
Add 1 tsp of sugar.
Add 2 heaped tsp of powdered milk.
Bring the milk to a boil until the milk foam rises to the edge of the saucepan walls; then, lower the flame to prevent the milk from toppling over.
Then, increase the heat again.
Repeat this step for at least 5-6 times or for 4 minutes.
Now, add 1 tsp of granulated black tea over medium heat.
Next, tear a Waitrose Darjeeling teabag open and pour the contents into the saucepan and stir with a spoon.
Cover with a lid and increase the heat until the tea boils and almost touches the lid. Then, turn off the heat.
Leave the tea covered for at least a minute.
Pour the tea through a strainer into your cup.
Enjoy one of the best cups of milk tea you will ever drink!
